Kellie is interested in finding out whether medicinal herbs alter phenolic abundance and composition in response to unique solar induced micro-environments. She was awarded the 2024 Zeller Medicinal Botany Scholarship through the Garden Club of America for her work on the topic.

Alex received his Bachelor’s in Biology from Georgia College & State University in 2021 and worked extensively with nonprofit organizations during his undergraduate experience.

Tim is a plant community ecologist and biodiversity scientist using field experiments around the world to understand the impacts of human-caused global change on grassland and desert ecosystems. He is an active member of the Sevilleta (SEV) and Central Arizona-Phoenix (CAP) Long Term Ecological Research programs in New Mexico and Arizona.

Steve is an assistant professor of Biology at West Virginia University. Steve received his PhD from Indiana University by studying the impacts of drought on forests, through which he became fascinated by the multitude of ways that plants can cope with environmental stress.
