SoGES Collaboratory Kickoff
December 5th marked our Solar Energy and Sustainable Ecosystem Collaboratory. Thank you to everyone that joined us!

Elements Magazine 2025: Solar arrays can aid grasslands during drought
University Distinguished Professor Alan Knapp explains how ecovoltaics not only can help Colorado achieve its renewable energy goals but also improve the conditions of grasslands.
Positioning CSU as a Global Leader in Sustainable Solar Energy
Our vision is that Colorado State University plays a leadership role in providing the foundational knowledge needed to make the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, primarily via photovoltaic energy generation, ecologically, socially, and economically sustainable. We propose to convene interested faculty and researchers at CSU, particularly those with ongoing and planned research investments in this energy transition, to collaboratively organize during the 2026

Colorado Department of Agriculture: Agrivoltaics Grants
Our team was awarded by the Colorado Department of Agriculture to quantify how agrivoltaic land use in the semi-arid native rangelands of Colorado can conserve soil moisture, particularly important during drought, and provide reliable, and perhaps increased, forage production for livestock.
